Every rate, slab, limit and threshold used across BhaiMerePaise lives in a single config file labelled for FY 2026-27. We do not invent numbers — each value is drawn from the relevant statute, notification or official portal, and the "Rates last reviewed" date in the footer (September 2026) tells you when we last checked them.
Where rates come from
- incometax.gov.in — income tax slabs, HRA rules, Section 234 interest, advance tax, 44ADA, ESOP/RSU perquisites, capital gains, gratuity and leave encashment.
- cbic.gov.in — GST rates, state codes and invoice rules.
- nsiindia.gov.in — PPF, SSY, SCSS and other small-savings interest rates.
State-specific values (professional tax, stamp duty) are sourced from each state's official commercial-tax or stamp-duty portal and noted inline in the relevant tool.
How calculations work
All maths runs entirely in your browser. No server receives your salary, rent, GST figures or any other input — the page you are on does the calculation locally, and document generators build PDFs on your device. That is why we can promise "no data uploaded" and mean it.
Keeping rates current
We update the central config after every Union Budget and when quarterly small-savings rates are notified. If you spot a number that looks wrong, please contact us — corrections are welcome.
